(Catharsis, 2024)
We walked together,
underneath the vast, unending sky.
Our paths aligned until they weren’t—
a gentle divergence, a silent goodbye.
Your voice, once my beacon, my song,
now a whisper fading into the wind.
My heart knows before my mind accepts:
we are no longer lovers, barely friends.
This chapter closes with a quiet ache,
a recognition of love’s gentle decay.
It’s not a tempest, but a soft withdrawal,
the tender parting of night from day.
Letting go is a lonely landscape,
where unanswered questions like old ghosts roam.
But we needn’t grasp every elusive shadow,
not every why must find its way home.

Here, in the solitude of newfound spaces,
I find the courage to forgive, to bless.
For love, in its leaving, teaches grace—
and in grace, a quiet kind of resilience.
